dr madden heinzen dvm dog Dr. Angela Madden-Heinzen, our Chief of Staff, earned a DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, in 1996. Port Cities Animal Hospital had been her home all through college and vet school. After graduating, Dr. Madden-Heinzen practiced for three years here at the hospital and then spent one year working in the Emergency and Critical Care department of the Fox Valley Animal Referral Center. After that year she realized that Port Cities Animal Hospital was a part of who she was and where she was meant to be al along.

dr burton rabbit dvmDr. Angela Burton graduated from the Univeristy of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, in 2003. She practiced mixed animal medicine and surgery for five years before coming to Port Cities Animal Hospital. Dr. Burton lives in Valders with her husband and three children. They also share their home with three Italian Greyhounds, a Siamese-mix cat, a skinny pig, and a tank full of goldfish.

Dr. Burton enjoys reading, gardening, crocheting, playing with her kids and her pets.


dr leah loehr dvm dog Dr. Leah Loehr grew up in Mount Calvary and currently resides in New Holstein, Wisconsin. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her DVM degree from the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign. Her special interests include preventative medicine and soft tissue surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Loehr enjoys crafting, Zumba fitness, and spending time with family and friends. She has three cats, two tabby cats named, Meeko and Nala, and one black cat named, Willow.

Dr. Loehr is excited to start her veterinary career at Port Cities Animal Hospital!

dr coston dvm snake Dr. Zachary Coston grew up in Northwest Indiana and earned his DVM degree from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. He has a passion for small animal and exotics medicine, particularly reptiles and amphibians. Dr. Coston also enjoy fishing, hunting, kayaking, camping, hiking (basically anything outdoors), and is a member of Ducks Unlimited. He currently has two dogs and four snakes that share his home, along with his wife and their newborn son.
